Accommodation
There is accommodation for all budgets and preferences in St Arnaud village.
While there are plenty of options, the wedding is in the busy season, so booking early is important!
We have included some recommendations below, but do get in touch if there is nothing to suit your needs and we can help!
Recommendations
Rotoiti Lodge
This is the venue for the wedding, but has bunk room accommodation (rooms of 7-10 people with a maximum capacity of 77). We will be staying up at the lodge! You are welcome to stay too for a small donation. If you are interested, let us know early as we will need to take into account family size, individual needs etc and gauge interest before allocating beds. There will also be space in the carpark for a couple of camper vans, however this would need to be fully self-sufficient.
Department of Conservation Campsites
There are two campsites run by the Department of Conservation within walking distance of the lodge; Kerr Bay (our preferred site), and Teetotal camp. You can stay in tents or camper vans, and they have various facilities. You will need to book, and this can be all done on the Department of Conservation website. If you want to discuss with us options for camping equipment or car/camper hire do get in touch - we would love to help make your trip to the lake an excellent time, perfect for you!
Alpine Lodge
For an elevated accommodation experience you can stay in a comfortable bedroom at the lodge, but they also offer mixed and private dormitory rooms. There is a restaurant and bar on site, and just a short walk through the village to the venue.
Nelson Lakes Motels
Run by a local family, the Nelson Lakes Motels offer a range of different accommodation options in the village for different needs and price-ranges.
Holiday Rentals
There are also of course a wide range of private rentals available, you can find these on AirBnB, Book-a-bach, or Holiday Houses.
